Friday, November 19, 2004 Mike Zarnock, Utica Mayor Tim Julian, and Museum Director Marlene Brown cut the ribbon at the Grand Opening of our new Hot Wheels collection! Museum staff and volunteers had been hard at work with Michael Zarnock preparing for the opening of his World Famous Hot Wheels Collection at The Children's Museum. Author/writer, Mike, labeled one of the worlds leading authorities on the subject, writes Collector Guides and Articles about Hot Wheels ® toy cars. He has also been awarded a Guinness World Record ™ for his Hot Wheels ® collection. Although Michael has more than 15,000 toy cars in his collection, this record is for 3,711 different Hot Wheels model cars. The old record was 1,500. View Mattel's Hot Wheels Collector's Feb. calendar page for Mike's appearance again at the Children's Museum. |
