Chair Teresa Jones announces this year's Spring Fling is being transformed into our 1st Annual Hawaiian Luau! You're invited to join us, Saturday May 14th, from 6:30pm to 10:30pm in our beautiful Children's Museum island hideaway for a Hawaiian Luau second only to being on the islands! Come enjoy island food and beverages, a neat Silent Auction, and hula dancers. Plus you can take part, if you wish, in a limbo contest and/or learn how to hula dance to Island music! Children's Museum 2004 Spring Fling & Raffles
Our Annual Spring Fling, Saturday, May 8th, 2004, with Honorary Co-Chairs Congessman Sherry Boehlert & District Attorney Mike Arcuri, was catered by Seneca Inn with full bar by Valley View, musical entertainment by Paul & Linda Spiwak & The Devin Garramone Band. Attendees mingled with community leaders and had fun shopping at our silent auction with over 100 neat items donated + viewed our newest exhibits from NASA, Office of Science, Clown collection, Drone plane! Donation was only $50 per person/$95 couple (pre-paid) to benefit the Children's Museum Planetarium. (Tickets available at the door $55 per person/$100 couple). Co-Chairs Betsey Snyder & Patrick Quinn reported that funds raised will help us to finish our new museum Planetarium & 4th floor Museum Main Street Exhibit area. Donations in the form of merchandise, cash, or gift certificates for auctioning the night of the event were welcome. Major sponsors were mentioned in all advertisements and received complimentary tickets to the event. Spring Fling, Saturday, May 3rd, 2003 At our 1st Annual Spring Fling, held Saturday, May 3rd, 2003, at the Childrens Museum, Honorary Chairs U. S. Congressman Sherry Boehlert & NYS Assemblywoman RoAnn Destito, along with the Board of Directors, greeted attendees as we proudly celebrated our 40th Anniversary. Musical entertainment was provided by Classified, Mirage, and the Carlton Boone Trio. Attendees enjoyed mingling with community's leaders in a spring setting with scrumptious food & beverages - and had the opportunity to do fun shopping at our Silent Auction and view our 4th floor with the NASA & DOE exhibits! Donation for all this was only $50 per person. |
