November 2008 News: Saturday, November 1st, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, kids of all ages will enjoy our Halloween Boo Bash a safe fun environment. Friday night, November 21st, and all day Saturday, November 22nd, The Children’s Museum 46th Anniversary Holiday Gala (black tie optional) will this year be combined with a Festival of Trees! Saturday, November 29th, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, kids & families from 1 to 101 will enjoy The Children’s Museum’s Annual Holiday on Main Street. December 2008 News: Families and Visitors and Tourists will enjoy the holidays in our gaily decorative festive museum, now a NYS and Federal historic building!
September 2008: During this month, we gear up for Fall and close a couple of additional days each week in order to do renovations. We've begun a new pricing structure: $9.00 for Adults, $8.00 for Seniors, $7.00 for children 2 to 17, children under 2 & members free. Check our online Calendar. August 22nd & 23rd, 2008: our Annual Folk Art Festival, featured various cultures who contribute to our community's diversity. July 25, 2008: We cut the ribbon on our new Commemorative Brick sidewalk! July & August 2008: We offered cool Summer Camp Programs! Check out the lineup here. June 2008: We chartered The Galaxy Rotary Club (for kids, parents, grandparents, scouts, home schoolers, etc.) at The Children’s Museum, hosted by Rotary eClub NY1 (earthly headquarters at The Children's Museum). Members will have access to special events in the “Rotary Kids Room” activites - targeted to individual Mom’s & Dad’s; Mom’s &/or Dad’s Clubs; Grandparents; Home Schoolers; Cub & Brownie Scouts - at an affordable price. It will contain information on Character Building, Honesty, Fairness, Ethics, Safety, and Friendship: all the things we need to teach our children while they’re young, so they become instilled as a part of them when they’re going through the tough older years. Galaxy Rotary Club members also have access to the Children's Museum, and the webcam! Read more here. May 2008 News: In May & June we featured The Vincent Ruggio "Paper Cities" exhibit! Vincent, age 10, of Manlius, will exhibit his "life’s work" during the months of May & June at the Children's Museum at 311 Main Street in Utica, NY. Named after the artist Vincent Van Gogh, he will be the first child to have his own art exhibit at the Children's Museum. View more here. March 2008 News: Saturday, March 8th, we held our Annual Science & Technology Fair Our thanks to Event Sponsor Pratt & Whitney HMI Metal Powders, Prize Sponsor Prevalere Life Sciences, Exhibit Sponsor NASA's Goddard Space Center.View 2007 pictures and fair entry forms. Saturday, March 22nd, we'll hold our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, fun for kids and families! Schedule: 10:30-10:45am for children ages 1 to 3; 10:55-11:10am for ages 4 to 6; 11:20–11:30am for ages 7 to 10. View more info and last year’s pictures. February 2008 News: Winter Break week (Feb. 15th to 20th) featured lots of neat cool programs, activities & new really exciting exhibits! Read more here. January 2008 News: During January, we are only open 4 days a week - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. We're closed the other days for renovations & staff vacations.
