New Butterfly Exhibit on our 3rd floor: And coming August 14th at 11:00am, The Butterfly Wranglers from CA will bring their special program to our museum. You'll witness - live - their DVD showing the joy. grace. beaity and wonder of the incredible butterfly metamorphosis.

The Children's Museum will be having a grand opening in May of a Dance Play Floor on our museum's 2nd floor.  Music, exercise, and games for kids of all ages!

April 2009 News: The week of April 13-17, '08, the Children's Museum Spring Break week featured neat activities. Saturday, April 11th, featured our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, fun for kids and families! Miss Greater Utica was also there for autograph signing! View more info and pictures.

February 2009 News: Winter Break week (Mon, Feb 16th thru Sat. Feb. 20th featured lots of neat programs, activities & exciting exhibits, including Princeton Lab's "Plasma Toys"!

January 2008 News: During January, we are only open 3 days a week - Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. We're closed the other days for renovations & vacations. Check our online calendar.

December 2008 News: Families and Visitors and Tourists enjoyed the holidays & parties in our gaily decorative historic museum building, featuring new lights on our roof, out front & inside! Saturday's, enjoy our Children's Museum Magic Theatre Show, at 12:00pm and 2:00pm, along with seeing how Hank the Snake gets fed! NASA is looking for the right name for the next Mars rover. NASA, in cooperation with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures' movie WALL-E from Pixar Animation, will conduct a naming contest for its car-sized Mars Science Laboratory rover that is scheduled for launch in 2009.

November 2008 News: Saturday, November 29th, 10:00am to 4:00pm, kids & families from 1 to 101 enjoyed The Children’s Museum’s Annual Holiday on Main Street & Festival of Trees! Friday night, November 21st, and Saturday, November 22nd, The Children’s Museum 46th Anniversary Holiday Gala (black tie optional) combined with a Festival of Trees! Saturday, November 1st, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, kids of all ages enjoyed our Halloween Boo Bash in a safe fun environment.

October 2008 News: our 5th annual International Halls of Fame: Bicycling, Rowing, Canoeing & Kayaking Induction Ceremony took place on 3rd floor of the museum October 11th, 2008.

September 2008: During this month, we gear up for Fall and close a couple of additional days each week in order to do renovations. We've begun a new pricing structure: $9.00 for Adults, $8.00 for Seniors, $7.00 for children 2 to 17, children under 2 & members free. Check our online Calendar.

August 22nd & 23rd, 2008: our Annual Folk Art Festival, featured various cultures who contribute to our community's diversity.

July 25, 2008: We cut the ribbon on our new Commemorative Brick sidewalk! We offered several neat Summer Camp Programs at CM. View more here.

June 2008: We hosted several school field trip groups at The Children’s Museum, and hosted Rotarians by Rotary eClub NY1 (whose earthly headquarters is at The Children's Museum).
