third week of November, the Children’s Museum of History, Science
& Technology enveloped visitors in a winter wonderland! As
our primary fundraiser, the museum never shines so bright. Friday,
November 20, 2009– Children's Museum 46th Anniversary
Holiday Gala / Festival of Trees & Lights (6:00-10:00pm)
w/Honorary Co-Chairs Congressman Michael Arcuri & Sabrina, and
NYS Senator Joe Griffo & Laraine; Saturday,

Museum's 2009 Holiday Gala / Festival of Trees & Lights Extravaganza
began on Friday,
November 20th, 2009 with a 6:00-6:30pm invitation only VIP
Reception at The Children’s Museum, 311 Main St, Utica, where our
board members joined Honorary Co-Chairs Congressman Mike Arcuri &
Sabrina and NYS Senator Joe Griffo & Lorraine in greeting our sponsors,
donors & VIP’s who had the 1st opportunity to view the silent
auction's uniquely designed multi-cultural large & small Trees, neat
Gift Baskets, Amazing Getaways, Designer Wreaths & Centerpieces, all
starting at 50% off their retail price, plus free raffle items! 6:30-9:30pm,
the evening continued with Beverages & scrumptious Hors D’oeuvres
catered by the Utica College Aramark chefs, plus live musical entertainment
by Carlton Boone & by The Lawless Band; 9:30-10:00pm Dessert, Coffee,
Raffle & Auction winners announced. Our historic building’s
four floors were lit up to envelop guests in a Luau themed winter wonderland!
Donation only $45 per person or $75. a couple pre-paid (by Nov. 10th)
or $50 per person at door. Tickets
available in the museum, from board members, or on our secure

/ Flyer Saturday, Nov. 21st, 2009 the Family Festival of Trees & Lights was held 10:00am-3:00pm. Reduced General Admission: $5 children 2-17; $6 for seniors; $7 for adults; members & children under 2 free. Visitors viewed Trees & multi-cultural holiday exhibits & bid on any items left over, + Santa & Mrs. Claus were there to hear children's wishes, Guinness World Record Holder Mike Zarnock was filming in our Hot Wheels Hall, there was a live Musical Performance by Sujeet Desai, The Lawless Band performed live w/Sound by Tim Perry, our Court Jester performed Magic, Andrew Buffington offered caricature painting, + holiday arts & crafts & Cultural activities representing our beautifully diverse community. Download Agenda. Friday, Nov. 27th, 2009, a Mother/Son & Father/Daughter Dance will take place from 6:00-8:00pm at the museum. The Hawaiian-themed event includes refreshments & leis. Tickets $15 for father/daughter or mother/son pair & $5. for each add’l child. DJ Bill Thomas will be featured on our Tree Festival’s 3rd floor, & an LED Dance Floor Contest will be featured on our 2nd floor! Purchase tickets on our secure shopping cart. Saturday, Nov. 28th, 2009, our Annual Holiday on Main Street from 10:00am-3:00pm. Reduced Admission: $5 children 2-17; $6 seniors; $7 adults; members & children under 2 free.
