.....The Children’s Museum is going to combine its Annual Anniversary Gala with a Community Festival of Trees! The Preview Party will take place Friday, November 21st, 2008 at the Children's Museum, 311 Main Street, Utica. This event, which kicks off the Festival, marks a celebration of our sponsors and designers and will be integrated into an evening of walkaround hors d’oeuvres, beverages, live musical entertainment, terrific raffles and auction items!
.....Event attendees will have the first opportunity to view & purchase the following holiday items: 1.) uniquely designed trees 7 ft tall, 2.) uniquely designed trees 4 ft tall, 3.) designer holiday wreaths, 4.) holiday centerpieces, 5.) holiday gift baskets. In addition to this wonderland adorning our four floors, will be a unique museum holiday ornament, free raffle items, and the unveiling of our new roof signs and chandeliers!
.....The evening begins with a VIP Reception (invitation only) 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the museum; Wine & Beer with Heavy Hors D’oeuvre from 6:30–8:30pm on the 2nd floor; Wine & Beer with Dessert & Coffee 8:30-10:30pm on the 3rd floor. Announcement of Raffle & Auction Bid Winners 9:30–10:00pm on the 3rd floor. Donation $45 per person in advance or $50 @ at the door. Tickets are available on our website's secure shopping cart. Ask our Board members how you can attend the VIP reception!
.....Join Honorary Co-Chairs, Congressman Mike Arcuri & Sabrina, Utica Mayor Dave Roefaro & Cindy, and County Executive Tony Picente & Eleanor, plus Board Members Dan Trevisani, Mike Pilawa, Joe Ruggiero, Art Rapp Jr., Joanne Palumbo-Mozloom, Jeannette Swiderski, John Stephenson, Matt Chmielewski, Ed Waszkiewicz, and CPA Vin Gilroy. This yearly benefit supports the museum's programs & the Future Vision for the children & families we serve.

....Saturday, November 22nd, 2008, the Festival will be Open to the Public from 10:00am-5:00pm. Reduced General Admission of $7.00 per person (members & children under 2 free). Visitors can view the Wonderland of Trees and Holiday Items, and bid on any that may be left over from the night before. Check the Agenda for performance times of: Kindermusik for young ones, Santa & Mrs. Claus visit to hear children's wishes, Hot Wheels Mike Zarnock there to autograph photos & books for fans; Magician Jeff there to demonstrate Animal Balloon making and magic science tricks for older kids; Andrew Buffington doing caricatures; Carlton Boone playing holiday music with Tim Perry's sound system. Kids create to take home holiday arts & crafts of all faiths.
